- End up doing the bare minimum
- Operating in silos
- Pointing fingers

“With the right leadership and coaching, mindsets adapt, performance improves, and teams thrive.”
A thriving team
- Becomes adaptable

- Go above and beyond
Spotlight helps teams adapt, connect, and perform under pressure through:

You see, how we behave or how useful a behaviour is to us in any given moment, ultimately depends on the context we find ourselves in and our mindset. Under pressure, our mindset can become quite fixed and thus behaviours often predictable.
Having the ability to adapt how we think, especially under pressure, and thus adapt how we behave, is key to unlocking performance and potential in individuals and teams.

Put simply, some people are trying to win, whilst others are trying not to lose, both proving to be successful strategies when applied skillfully.
As a result, Spotlight explores the major dimensions of character, based on the properties of the brain-behavioural systems.
This includes the basic processes of motivation, learning and emotion.
Taking these lessons, Spotlight provides an understanding of both ‘Behavioural Style’ and ‘Mindset’, combining them into what can be termed ‘’Performance Preferences”.

The COPE model is based on one of the only biologically-based models of personality, called Reinforcement Sensitivity Theory.
The COPE model explores four different mindsets, based on sensitivity to threat and reward, that we each need to tap into in different moments or situations.
The FLEX model explores four different behavioural styles based on a combination of factors from the ‘Big 5’ theory, one of the most scientifically supported models of personality. Both the COPE and FLEX models that have developed from these theories have been rigorously validated using cutting-edge Bayesian analytics.

Report Individuals spend 20 mins filling out the online tool which will produce a 18 page personal profile which will outline their COPE and FLEX profile.
Each person can receive up to 5 coaching sessions which follow a step by step process to help them understand themselves and apply it into their day to day lives.
Team Coaching Workshops can take place to help groups come together as a high performing team and enhance their culture of collaboration.

At Spotlight Peak Performance, we can use Spotlight as a coaching tool to help develop you both personally and professionally.
It allows you to understand and maximise your strengths, and develop a more adaptable mindset and flexible approach to interacting with others, and will show you how you can help others get the best from you.

Our team development days unite your team with a shared purpose and enhance levels of collaboration and adaptability. These sessions are designed to bring together individual Spotlight profiles and put them in the context of your team’s challenge.
Spotlight helps teams build stronger relationships and gives team members a greater appreciation of each other’s strengths and how to support each other in playing to these strengths.
It provides a way of supporting teams to develop greater psychological safety, and encourages diverse thinking and collective adaptability within a group.

In 25 years, in high pressure, high change corporate environments, I did all the various “personality” tests and the recycled one and two day workshops.
Only for “leaders” who didn’t know how to use them to label me and put me and my colleagues in a box, or worse, stick it in the bottom drawer. As a result, I became cynical of these tests.
In leading teams and studying psychology for over 10 years, I noticed that the reality was what really mattered is how we think and behave under pressure, when the going gets tough. Then I discovered Spotlight and finally I had a proven leadership system that could equip me with what I needed to thrive in those circumstances.
Now I want to help other leaders do they same.
